About the Trainer

EJ Topping, your trainer, was home at La Mesa Rv between 2001 and 2013 and retired.

EJ's first year earned him $114,000 and that was his lowest year and he remained in the top ten of a 150 person sales force.


EJ, along with Cindy Hunka and Duane Rivera, started the internet department and when he retired, 2 years later, the internet department was doing 22% of the company's business which has since, under Duane's leadership, increased to over 30%.


Shortly thereafter, Cassone's RV recruited him as a GM where he started their sales department and built this Mom and Pop dealership to 6 million in sales from $900,000 in service.


A few years later, his ex-wife recruited him to be her GM and he built her dealership from start-up to 9 million dollars.


Back in 2004, EJ wrote a book, "Power Selling secrets for RV Professionals" in order to help others to do what he does best...SELL.


In 2007, Beaudry RV recruited him to recruit, train and motivate a sales force. EJ got Bob Upton's approval (at the time he was Vice-President at La Mesa RV) to leave for a short time with the promise that he would not recruit anyone from La Mesa RV.

EJ, in 2.5 months, recruited and trained over 25 solid sale people and Beaudry's sales went from $200,000 gross profit in November to almost $2,000,000 gross profit in February.

EJ then returned to La Mesa RV.


What makes EJ such a powerful sales person is his understanding of both the 10 step selling process and a customer's 10 step buying process that he analyzed and kept the customer in sync with the selling process.


His training also takes into account the psychology of selling big ticket items and his understanding that it is always the "CAPABLE BUYER" that buys what he wants when a salesperson takes his or her time and patiently walks the customer through the 10 step buying process.
